HAVE A JOYOUS CHRISTMAS FROM GORD AND KIM AND EVERYONE AT LAMP Another Christmas is fast approaching!  My prayer is that we do not become so busy that we miss the true reason for our yearly celebration.  That God chose to demonstrate His love by entering into history in order to reconcile a fallen humanity to Himself.  This is the Good News of Christmas!  And this is the message that LAMP strives to share in the Canadian North. Kim and I would like to thank you for your continued prayers and support.  Especially pray for more volunteers as we have a growing waiting list of communities who are anxious to host a LAMP team.

NORTHERN EXPOSURE 2018 While this picture is from the Spring, I will be sure to take my parka when I go up North around the second week of December.  I will be taking a load of quilts, baby bundles, Bibles, hand-made knitted wear, slippers, soup and anything else that I can fit into the vehicle.  These gifts for our Northern First Nation friends were graciously donated by the Canadian Lutheran World Relief, Nassau Street Church (Winnipeg, MB), St. John Women (Preeceville, SK) and Christ Our King (Mississauga, ON).  I would like to thank these churches and groups for these items, and pray that they will bring both physical and spiritual warmth to all of the recipients.  My current plan is to leave around December 9th, and distribute the gifts into 10 to 14 communities.  Please keep me in your prayers for safety and that the Lord will use these blessings to draw people to Him.     PRAYER: Thanks so much for your prayers and support!  Please pray: For safety for Gord during the "Northern Exposure" tour.  That the communities will see how much the Lord loves and cares for them through these gifts, and that there will be many 'God moments' throughout this trip. That there will be an increase in the number of teams for 2019 so that each of the communities that are on the waiting list will have a volunteer team that will minister to them. THANKSGIVING: I would like to praise the Lord for His faithfulness in the following: For the yearly reminder that God came into the world as a babe in Bethlehem. For the number of teams who will be braving the Northern Canada winter to visit their community.
