FLY! Forever Loving You

LAMP's VBS theme this year is aptly titled "FLY! Forever Loving You,"

The Children will be reminded that: God Loves Everyone!, God's Love Rules!, God's Love Never Changes, God's Love Shows Itself in Action and God's Love is the Best Gift of All.
SUMMER MINISTRIES
Our teams will be in the following communities:
Week of July 1 - Leaf Rapids, Wollaston Lake
Week of July 8 - South Indian Lake, Thompson, Deschambault
Week of July 15 - Brochet, Lynn Lake, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay
Week of July 22 - Easterville, Tadoule Lake
Week of July 29 - Cormorant, Lac Brochet, Moose Lake, York Landing
Week of August 19 - Churchill

Please keep these teams in your thoughts and prayers.  May they have a fruitful and safe time in the community which they love.
PRAYER:
Thanks so much for your prayers and support!  Please pray for:
  • The communities and teams as noted above - That the Lord may be glorified.
  • The wives and families of the LAMP Missionaries serving in the North: Kim (Gord), Linnea (Andrew), Teri (Dennis), Tina (Nathan) and Sheryl (Ron).
  • Safe flights and alert pilots!  May the LAMP planes be free of any insurmountable mechanical problems.
THANKSGIVING:
I would like to praise the Lord for His faithfulness in the following:
  • For the large number of volunteers from U.S.A. and Canada who are conducting VBS's in Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan and B.C.
  • For the successful repair and great running condition of the Cessna 182.
  • For the Lord's provision and faithfulness as He positions LAMP to serve Him in Northern Canada.

HAVE A JOYOUS CHRISTMAS FROM GORD AND KIM AND EVERYONE AT LAMP Another Christmas is fast approaching!  My prayer is that we do not become so busy that we miss the true reason for our yearly celebration.  That God chose to demonstrate His love by entering into history in order to reconcile a fallen humanity to Himself.  This is the Good News of Christmas!  And this is the message that LAMP strives to share in the Canadian North. FALL NEWSLETTER 2019

THANKSGIVING REFLECTION Throughout October, I was once again humbled as I reflected upon the many blessings that the Lord has afforded me.  The top of the list is the free gift of salvation offered through Christ’s redeeming work on the cross.  Throughout my life He has always been there and has lovingly drawn me into a deeper relationship with Himself.  Since 2003, I have been honoured to serve Him through Missionfest Manitoba (14 years) and LAMP (2.5 years thus far).  And when I think about LAMP, I thank the Lord for my many prayer partners and supporters. It is because of you that we are able to touch the lives of those who live in some of the remotest parts of Northern Canada, and I give thanks and praise to our Lord for each one of you! Christmas Cannot Be Stolen

  CHRISTMAS CANNOT BE STOLEN! I have heard politicians lament that they would be remembered as the ‘person who stole Christmas.’ Like in ‘The Grinch who Stole Christmas’ by Dr. Seuss, the perpetrator was able to steal some of the things that surround the day, but not effect the main celebration.
