A Year of Triumphs among Challenges

It has been a year of mechanical problems and bad weather, but the Lord is faithful!  Ontario and Manitoba have temporarily lost two of our key tools for the majority of our summer ministry - our planes.  Dennis, Andrew and myself are making contingency plans upon contingency plans, and we have been able to get where we needed to be although it took considerable more time, thousands of additional kms on the road and a few commercial flights.  Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!
OUR TEAMS ARE AMAZING

LAMP is blessed with having teams who are committed to and love the communities where they serve.  As I travel from place to place I see so many smiling faces - from both the children and the volunteers alike.  And then many tears when it becomes time for the team to leave - from both child and volunteer.  We praise God that we have so many volunteers who are spreading the knowledge and love of the Lord throughout the Canadian North.  Next month we will be talking about the need for more teams to serve in communities that remain on our waiting list.

Please continue to keep our teams in your thoughts and prayers.  There are still 15 teams who will be serving in communities during August.  May they have a fruitful and safe time in the community which they love.

PRAYER:
Thanks so much for your prayers and support!  Please pray:
  • For the teams that are serving throughout August.  May they teach and example Jesus' love in each of their communities.  May the communities be surrounded by a Spirit of safety and peace.
  • That the missionaries continue to strongly serve the communities and teams, even when there are travel complications.
  • For wisdom in the repair and long-term planning concerning the aircraft.
THANKSGIVING:
I would like to praise the Lord for His faithfulness in the following:
  • For the amazing programs which were conducted during July.  May God receive all the praise, glory and honour.
  • For providing alternate means and plans so that all of the necessary visits have been made.
  • For so many teams and volunteers who love the Lord and the communities where they serve.
  • For my wife Kim and family who maintain the home front while I serve up north during the majority of the summer.
